I just want a well rounded pciture, Don. I rarely buy a stock onless I can recite at least one good short argument. I made an exception on ASTN case by Zebra365 is in it, and he doesn't make a move unless he is 100% sure. And he usually gets it right most of the time too.

In reading Auric's reply, I am relieved that there are no major skeltons, such as officers with criminal pasts, hinky accounting, or secret warehouses with piling inventory. What i have learned is that the best stocks to short are those with slippery and/or fraudulent accounting that is obvious to just about anybody. That just doesn't apply here. Never short on overvaluation alone. Somehow, I am not convinced that Fidelity's lack of ASTN stock is of any import. And regarding Peter Lynch: He never bought technology stocks and admitted he was lousy at it. Lynch's philosophy is all but dead at Fido.
