Yep, you are right. It will take time. I have said before we would have rallies and I believed we would rally this week. But the strength of the Naz today on the rebound surprised me. But everyone is so focused on the Naz. The S & P 500 and Dow are still down for the year and he Naz has done nothing special except provide incredible volatility swings.

PETE from STAMFORD, CT

I can't and won't blame Bob for this when his advice throughout 1999 was to remain fully invested.

You know very well that you were reading between the lines as Bob hinted at a likely correction and even a possible inflection point being reached. There were people raising cash and even shorting the market back then based on his comments on the air.

Therefore I take full responsibility for my premature partial action.

But of course if the correction would have occurred you would have been giving Bob all of the credit for his ability to call the correction correctly.

I felt it was prudent to take some money off the table at a time when Bob warned that "distribution" was taking place.

Wait a minute, I thought your position was that Bob's advice was to remain fully invested. So he did cause you to act prematurely.

I have not regrets for the gains I forfeited on the removed portion, net of money market returns thereon.

Yeah, right...Uh huh...Who needs all that money any way?

Moreover, in my judgement, it's much too early to judge Bob's Jan 8, 2000 call.

I agree on this, but where were you last week when there was a coronation taking place on this thread?

Talk to me 8-24 months from now and we can have a rational discussion about it.

What if the market rises more than 5% in the next few months? Would he have been wrong? And why wait 2 years, we know how this is going to play out. If the market falls by 20% you will give Bob endless gratitude, but if it doesn't you will just say it was your fault that you called in the order to sell and nobody else's and besides Bob isn't immortal.

We all know Bob is not God as evidenced by his bum call on UTEK

But come on PETE, you really thought he was God before the UTEK call, didn't you? Tell me what made you finally accept UTEK as a bum call? And what good does it do to see that now?

Best Regards.
