Help
I'm caught between the vacuum of the etrade sucks/ ndb sucks thread
Hey-notice NDB's new partner won't allow you to say ndb sucks
I'm listenening to the "it's time for etrade..." recording
Guess there were too many options for them to ever finish that sentence.
Hackers get to their site?
Wait...I think it's going to be a long wait-they just transferred me to one of those "ocean environment" cd's
or is that the "forest rain"?

A response to the PM from SI...

"Last, but certainly not least, as you may have noticed, we also announced a new
strategic relationship with National Discount Brokers, in which we will be
integrating brokerage transaction capabilities directly into SI. You can check out
the press release..."

Yes, I have noticed that you have not only formed a strategic relationship with NDB
but you have also violated peoples civil rights through censorship. Since 1997 there has
been a thread on SI with the title "ETrade Sucks". On that thread hundreds of people
have told others about the trials and tribulations that they have gone through with
ETrade.

Then a few months ago a person started a new thread on SI and gave it the title "NDB
Sucks". There were several people that posted about the growing problem of poor
executions and mistakes that were being made by National Discount Broker.
Eventually, Silicon Investor changed the title of the thread by dropping the word
"Sucks" and just letting it say "NDB". OK, so you did not like the negative title. Did
you drop the word "Sucks" from the "ETrade Sucks" thread? No.

So now that you have completed your "strategic relationship" with NDB, you have
gone and completely removed the "NDB" thread from SI. It is no where to be found.
Is this Censorship? ...or just plain politics? Do you have the right to remove the "NDB
Sucks" thread while leaving the "ETrade Sucks" thread online? Maybe the answer is
yes to all of the above. Maybe that is just the way things are. If so, I can live with
that...but I must say that one of the greatest things that has made SI what it is today is
the fact that anybody at any time can post anything...as long as it is legal, on topic and
hopefully truthful.

I have been a user of SI since 1996 and would like to continue to use SI. It is far
better than Yahoo or Raging Bull. But I do find it unfortunate that SI would begin to
remove message threads that have negative views about companies that SI does
business with. If you remove one of them you must remove them all. If you remove
them all then we all go to the Raging Bull. If we all go to the Raging Bull then SI will
cease to exist. Then we all lose.

Come on SI...do what you know is right...pull out the backup tape and restore the
"NDB Sucks" thread.
