I wasn't clear. I'm not saying they don't like Bush personally; I'm saying they are not impressed by him. He's somewhat of a cipher--there is precious little either to like or dislike. The type who won't draw strong feelings either way. That explains his low negatives and his low positives.

Bush would win South Carolina going away if he came out in favor of keeping the Southern Flag flying over the capitol. And it would really irritate liberals. <gg>

If McCain gets the nod, I will be the first to vote for him, but if you go back and look, chalu2 has been on GWBs case since day one, sounding much like another guy we all hold dear ......name starts with a C?

To say that McCains voting record is all over the place, does not do much to settle me.

How hard are the Dems going to hit him on Keating?
How hard on his all over the place voting record?
How has he voted on any prev. campaign reform issues?
Can he beat Gore?
