App Server for Linux is huge news. Corba, EJB compliant n-tier architecture combined with linux will allow web sites to be built cheaply that scale to millions of users. This is really encroaching on BEAS territory. Go to BEAS site and look at difficulties schwab had in implementing their brokerage system. BEAS offered the best solution at the time, but for the post-modern world of the internet, Linux rules and INPR is first out of the gate with a modern web server.

BTW, did you know oracle 8i is built around the CORBA bus with INPR tools on front? They have a $100 Billion plus market cap.

Re: offers on the table

I can't recall any (of the many) that have buzzed around on this and other threads over the years that has had any credibility at all. Certainly none that was corroborated in any way other than "I heard the same rumor". John Solder says categorically that "there were offers made to the BOD in the recent past", but I think this may just be from the same "source" - comments, John?
