Elect, me too in CA, these stocks are all over the place , BB's have the most to gain and lose , NASDAQ , NYSE less risky.
The picks come mainly from the GL site at goldenlists.com and discussed on the SI golden list thread. Anyone can nominate a pick - but you are responsible for it, and your name and post will be there for all the world to see.

There are 3 tiers of stocks that fall - in one way or another - under the aegis of NASDAQ.

Tier 1: NASDAQ National Market System - the "major league" of NASDAQ, populated by the likes of Microsoft, Oracle, etc.

Tier 2: NASDAQ Small Cap OTC - the "minor league"

Tier 3: OTC-BB - the "sandlot league"

NASDAQ tries to distance itself from the OTC-BB and pretend it really doesn't have anything to do with it - like locking your funny uncle in the basement and going "gee, I don't know how he got down there" - but they do.

And then there's the "Pink Sheets", the toxic waste dump for everybody that can't make anybody else's league - sort of like the goofy kid with the taped glasses who couldn't catch if he had a bushel basket and always got picked last.

Hope this helps.
