all right! i just got classic back working fine! i have had probs with new messages not clearing. it was virtually useless in that state. bryan said he'd 'look into it', but to not hold out too much hope. i have no idea whatsoever what changed to suddenly make it work. i just know that i have been using classic lite for about two weeks and getting the real deal classic back in full operational mode is a gift! and the timing is superb, considering that the si wizards are scheduled to trash heap this beautiful interface in a few days. i get to say goodbye to a dignified companion in the proper manner. long live classic... in classic we trust! :) mark
