OT: "When are you going to hide those ugly wires?".

So far, the benefit of cable modem access speeds has far outweighed the ugliness factor! I've only actually SEEN her downstairs twice since I ran the wire, and that was to check and see if I had removed the wire (her email server was down.)

We're in a rental for another four dreadful months, so ripping out walls isn't an option. I'm not sure I want to bother in a new house if wireless goes where it seems to be headed. I just have hideous visions of next-generation scanners, though, picking up my, um, surfing experiences. Maybe I'll stick with cat5 for MY connection. <g>

One of the best items I ever bought was a 150' wiring snake. It's still a pain in the butt to thread wire through walls, but well worth it in the long run.
