personally, I want the blue laser because it would look much cooler than the red laser. Appearance counts, and blue is just a cooler color.

"transmit data more densely" yes that is what I believe I read as well (i.e. blue laser). Without looking up the article I believe it said something like 2-4x more information could be stored/read using blue laser light. Only going from memory though (very faulty at times!). Basically it boils down to this... blue lasers are much better for data storage/reading ability than other lasers. Great improvement to the DVD market.
