Dan, I heard something interesting on TV lately, and I think it was a quote of C.S. Lewis. It pointed out that, of all the religions of the world, past and present, the main distinction between them, and Christianity, is that Christianity makes forgiveness one of the main tenets of the belief. Some other ancient religions gave evidence of a virgin birth, and several had mentions of a resurrection of some sort, but only Christianity fosters forgiveness.

Just passing through Dan and Haqi; I just wanted to stick big nose in to comment that the Lord says if the unbeliever will cause us to sin, give him(or her) a wide berth. God sees the beginning the present and the end result of all of his creation and as you know we cannot fathom what the next second will bring. I believe that we assume to much responsibility for each others actions. That is the main reason that we argue. We just have to see that our point is understood. How few we actually change. I bet more have changed because of how they perceive us as we do and not say.
Just another nosy Christian wanting to make his point. grin

<< As you know, nothing sets me off like the subject of destroying life(abortion). >>

Abortion is not destroying life, it creates eternal life, for the fetus soul, in Heaven.

Of course, this is only true if you believe in Heaven and in a compassionate God.
