George, i believe the very same people that have lost big due to the yield curve inversion have begun to unwind some short gold positions...and as i have mentioned before, gold was a 'dull' market for the last three or four weeks, with very little movement. that's usually a sign that a big move is about to occur. of course i wouldn't totally rule out that some unexpected news item will hit us soon to account for part of the move. typically inexplicable moves such as today's are the result of insider advance knowledge...remember the ECB announcement? the PoG began to move 4 days before the announcement was made.
