Jeffry White: Thanks for the advice. My brother the VP of Engineering and Construction with a communication firm, recommended his recent law professor while my brother was doing graduate studies.

The guy took a week to get back to me, forget about it. My previous lawyer has seen no business from me since I left Texas back in 82. So, I am no longer a good customer...<g>

I will not be moving into the home I just had built even though it is ready per the builder. The construction was just to shoddy. Standing my ground and demanding the problems be corrected has resulted in the builder saying they will no longer sell me the house. They want me to sign a release before they will give my earnest money back.

I am pissed. I want to know what my options are.

New home construction in the North Texas area is in a sorry state. (A long story.) I will be building another new home, but I must admit I know I will have a struggle to get it built well. Next contract will include some riders...<g>

In the mean time, I must "deal" with this builder. I need a good lawyer that handles real estate.

If anyone knows of a good real estate lawyer in the Dallas Ft.Worth area please PMail me.

Regards,
LG
