SSP, Here is a stock you might want to put on the list. I picked up some this morning. From the DD I did so far...I think this company is in a turn around situation and has some things happening that will bring it some great visibility over the next few months (possibly starting later this month)! The stock has a very small float and has been over looked.

NasdqaSC-RTROC

The C should be coming off in the very near future...it was added when the stock got below a $1.00...it has been trading over a $1.00 for the last 30 days.

Currently consolidating between $1.90 and $2.00

Profile shows:
Book Value of $3.00
O/S 3.18M
Float 1.40M

Up until recently, the companies only business was manufacturing women's clothing. They have issued several PRs the last couple of months announcing orders. It looks like they are trying to expand their business in to other ventures. They just recently signed a joint venture with Hamilton Designs. Most of you are probably familiar with the Hamilton Collections (collector dolls, etc.). Hamilton does a great job of marketing their products! Here is a paragraph from RTROC's last filing (in November).

The Company has entered in to a joint venture agreement with Hamilton Design System to acquire licenses from major film studios to manufacture dolls portraying certain movie characters. The Company will provide financing, warehousing, shipping, billing, collections as well as administration to the joint venture while Hamilton Design System will design, oversee production and administer the sales force.

It looks like their first project out of the gate is going to be associated with a high profile movie! They attended a couple of toy shows in January, and are scheduled to be at the one in NY next week. From their Jan 12th PR:

The company has acquired licenses from Universal Pictures to manufacture the characters of Boris, Natasha and the Fearless Leader from the upcoming movie ''Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle.''

The movie is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2000 starring 2-time Academy Award-winner Robert DeNiro (''Raging Bull,'' ''Godfather Part II'') as the Fearless Leader, Jason Alexander (TV's ''Seinfeld'') as Boris Badenov, and Rene Russo (''Get Shorty'', ''Lethal Weapon'' 3 and 4, ''Thomas Crown Affair'') as Natasha Fatale.

Here is Universal Studios web page on the movie.

Here is a couple of interesting rumor messages I found on other threads:

This is in regards to the last RTROC put out regarding the Donner Group.

"The last PR is translated into this:

I didn't think much of the last PR, but it is INCREDIBLE after it was explained to me! I was told by Donner Corp, that they will be begin to MARKET RTROC to investors SOON. They are finalizing a RESEARCH report and then will begin. They Marketed other Nasdaq stocks and they had impressive Results with $2 stocks hitting over $10 and $15. We are going to ROCK!! I bought more at $2 yesterday and KNOW it was a SOUND decision. Bottom line is, it is moving NOW because something obviously leaked out. We will find out next week I guess.. Good luck LONGS!!!!"

smilinlad-yes-This is what I know-

they are releasing a shopping mall website by end of FEB-buybuyshopping.com, earnings by Feb which are supposed to be very impressive, and they are licensed to manufacture the toys for the new movie "Rocky & Bullwinkle" starring Robert Dinero and Renee Russo. Plus the float is 1.4 million, and the book value is $3. On top of that, read the last 8 PR's.-Nothing but great stuff. I think $5+ soon is coming

Here is a paragraph out of their filing that explains their women's clothing business:

The Company contracts for the manufacture of a variety of garments, primarily
basic women's sportswear which includes suits, skirts, blouses, blazers,
pants, shorts, vests and dresses, using assorted fabrics including rayons,
linens, cotton and wool. The Company arranges for the manufacture of garments
for customers under private labels selected by its customers. It markets its
products exclusively in the United States directly to large wholesalers,
directly and indirectly to national retailers and buying organizations, and
directly to women's chain clothing stores and catalogues.

It looks to me like there are some good things coming up here...with the small float this one could fly in the future!

Not a buy recommendation...do your own DD (ladies, if nothing else, check out the picture of the CEO on the RTROC web page...he is a hunk! LOL)
