Steve Salgo: I think overall new housing construction in most of the states that border Mexico is pretty sorry. I have heard many nightmares. I have gone through many homes under construction and I can say with authority that "most" new homes in North Texas are not built well.

One has to find a builder willing to baby sit your house, forcing the subcontractors to do a "good" job and if they don't make them redo...

Finding a builder that will do that is not an easy task, in today's market. My take on why the housing industry in Texas has sunk to such a low level is a long story...

At least my wife and I know our decorator choices were damn good...<g>
