I think it was mentioned somewhere that the ETEK deal is expected to close around June. Not very specific, I know, but better than nothing!

Hi Codawg, The company did not reveal many details on the subject. All they mentioned was that once they make their filing with the regulators (and they did not reveal that date either--someone had asked them), the government has some time to review or ask for additional information.
I don't understand this approval process very well but the impression i got was that at least 6 months would be reasonable. Again, they were asked questions on the timeframes and did not provide much detail in the press conference.

My take on ETEK is that the market has priced in a big risk. Even if this risk is appropriate (of the deal not going through), the other companies in this sector have been on a roll anyways. Consequently, ETEK should not drop much unless of course downward momentum were to develop and sometimes that does happen. The current price is where i think it should be trading at anyways given the other companies like SDLI's price moves.

I hope things worked out with MSFT. I have been staying away a little bit. Not quite ready to get back into the stock yet.

good luck
