Re: "nflation and the price of crude."

Thanks Lee. I maintain those same people who have caused yesterday's (2/3/00) Census statistics retirement funds record breaking savings report (saving baby boomers) are the same one's who caused that high inflation and crude price increases in the 70's when they were doing just the opposite (spending baby boomers!). That is proof enough to me of the current market valuation and continuation to the tune of $7Billion a month and that's just in the stock market.

It may turn out to be a new lesson to economist or at least the FED economist that paper wealth is not necessarily inflationary. The potential may be there but will all those baby boomers take all that money out and start spending it like they did in the 70's?

With most of their cars bought, their houses just about paid for and their kids grown up and out on their own, they are probably sitting in front of their PC's looking for new ways to build on that huge nest egg for that secured life style a few year off.

It's nirvana! Everyone is adding to the stock market pool feeling secure, safe and wealthy. Now why would anyone want to change that?
