MM, RE: Bandwidth is the keyword of the millenium and nothing provides more bandwidth in the most efficient mode than fiber.

There's no question that you are right in this statement. The problem with FTTH is that it is not currently economical, there are just too many Fiber to the Building opportunities out there.

By the time that FTTH becomes economical, my guess is that wireless will be too much competition. The bandwidth acceleration on the wireless side is ramping up quickly. For example, on my desk right now is a seed capital request from a company that is going to build equipment at a rate of 622 Mbps per channel capacity, which would make wireless almost directly comparable to fiber. This will happen within the next two years. Given that wireless is much, much cheaper to get capacity on line, that is why I'm saying the residential market just won't happen for fiber.
