There are of course counterexamples, I'll give you another, FDRY, which opened up high and just kept going. I'm just telling you what the market will rate to expect. If PALM goes up and stays up, great, just don't expect the market to assume it will.

Souze, I beg to differ with you on JNPR, according to the charts JNPR's market cap has risen 70% since the early part of Dec. 1999. That should also translate into a 70% gain on 3Com's investments with JNPR if they are able to maintain the current price.
