Schwab mentioned favorably twice on CNBC today, once as the 'Double Your Money" Pick as being extremely shorted (a good contrarian sign) and the share price being attractive at 35ish, and later by an analyst as a 'good buy at the current price'. Both times they said that Schwab is the leader in it's category and nimble in staying that way. I think their move into lower trade prices for 'daytrader' types, is the BEGINNING of their move into this area, and so that pricing structure is not set in stone. My feeling is that the stock has made a solid base and will move up from here, but with a lot of volatility. Hang on for the ride!
Long on SCH,

PS. I helped my dad play with OJ futures once and we made money, but we were neurotic wrecks for the whole time, so I haven't played that game since....but I do follow coffee so some day I may play, only when I have 10 grand or so I can just throw away. That won't be any time soon, though.

Hmmm.... Interesting. I haven't ever traded futures, but there have been once or twice in my life I was tempted. One was earlier this month when I was looking for a way to bet that long term interest rates would fall from 6.7%. I never found a good way, so I just watched, darn it.
