LG: I've spent a fair bit of time with highbrow folk like dmBattapaglia, tasting what they spend too much for, over the years. And, let me say that 99.44% of all can't tell the difference of any of what they buy over your Texas brew.

Blind tastings are the best way to watch them squirm. Most all blind tastings I've attended in the past 15 years end up with the swill leading the rankings, with some highbrow stuff at the bottom of the list. Almost, every time. Almost, without regard to the experience and knowlege of the crowd.

You're missing nothing buy hype. Wine's great, I love to drink it. But it lasts about as long as a Pump 'n Dump on a BB stock. And the highbrow is humped to the hilt.
