Either way the big issue for QCOM is obviously royalties. What will the take be? Can we really count on getting a few percent?

I think that the other question that is of interest....is how successful will Qualcomm be in the W-CDMA ASIC market? It's tough to tell how much attention Qualcomm has paid to this market since all they have announced is the name of the chip (MSM5200). If the two standards are as close as we seem to think they are, then Qualcomm should be able to translate their success in 3xrtt into W-CDMA. This would open up huge new opportunities for Qualcomm....
