Joe, the reason I tend to avoid software plays is due to the many amazing runs from the other sectors . . .by comparison. . . when you look at a 3 year chart of the software sector . . it is nice, but compare it to anything internet related, and suddenly it looks like John Deere.

As for software for set-top boxes. . . I would be interested in any company that has signed a deal with GIC, GMH, PHG or SFA. . . . . to provide software. . . . not interested in deals with smaller set-top box makers.

Windows CE is being pushed into internet appliances. . . that is why MSFT gave T a half-billion bucks for a guarantee of more set-top boxes based on the CE platform.

finally bought some cmrc. Don't know where the bottom is, but more than 50% off its 52 week high is good enough for me.
