I had assumed that they paid for it - either in money or donation of products and implementation services. Personally, I think the Oracle name appearing front and center on the 100's of thousands of hits on that web site each day may be worth the price. Of course we can only guess what the price was that Oracle paid and Novell was not willing to pay. OR - CNN simply did not even provide a similar high profile location on the front page for Novell to bid on.

Guess we wont know.

Probably a waiver of a portion of the support and maintenance fees Oracle charges. They are ungodly. Our's is well into six figures.

If Oracle would like to waive our support and maintenance fees, they are welcome to put their logo in the geometric center of our home page.
