Thomas,

I was one of the unlucky ones with my AOL 5.0 experience. The first thing I tried was an uninstall of the offending version but the damage had already been done. According to AOL and Dell my only recourse was to reformat. As was stated in a couple of earlier posts, it is not difficult to do but is time consuming. It's not something I would do just for kicks.

What is this about AOL 5.0 locking out other ISP's? I have AOL 5.0 and also have MSN. I usually use MSN for internet access, but my wife usually uses AOL. I have never been locked out. It works fine on my laptop and both of my desktop computers.

I have never had a problem using the other ISP, but have been hearing about problems. Could someone please explain?

Thanks,

Ritch
