I understand completely. I have a beautiful vacation home in the mountains because I prefer the same things. Love people, but need my alone time too. Hiking, reading, quiet time, writing, doing my 'stock stuff'. Other half is kind enough to watch the kids and give me a day or two in the mountains every other week or so. Up here now and the family is joining me in a couple of hours. Our family spends most of our weekends here. Someday we will move here for good. I'm very blessed to have both - i.e. solitude at times and a wonderful loving family. Where do you live by the way?
