Thanks Claude I understand your point.

I do not mean to imply that higher cost production is desirable... That would be absurd ! But when we are contemplating the market in the context of a rising price for gold, is it possible that mines that are currently only marginally profitable should see the greatest percentage increase in profitability and therefore might also enjoy the greatest percentage increase in market price ?

Even exploration plays might score on that basis.... Let's say recoveries are a question; A rising price of metals helps to eliminate the concern.

It's so long since there was a rising price of metals, that I forget !
