Perhaps I misunderstood your comments and you've probably been watching markets longer than I have (no that's not a slam). I just don't see the link between the longer term geo-political shifts you've alluded to and what is occuring in our markets in the last few months.

I also view much of the new information-age speak as a farce -- some information is more readily available, but I see the changes, as others have said -- evolutionary, not revolutionary.

For instance I have made quite a bit of use of the internet in my job recently for getting information, but all of this information was still available prior to the advent of the internet -- I get a little faster access to it that's all. Often, I still find myself having to contact people on the phone, once I get the contact. Much of the technical information that I get from literature was in a form that could be referenced electronically before the internet -- if I was willing to go to a library.

Why do you see it as such a important shift?
