The AMEX appears to have weak specialists....so if you want to trade it it is not like the NYSE, and nasdaq trading simply doesn't apply there..

(In my early days I burned a lot of money on the AMEX...and I'm always scared holding stocks there,..but there are exceptions, and GBT appears to be one only make sure you don't overpay. You are right that a NYSE listing adds credibility, simply check out ENZ, but also AMEX stocks can bounce, and run).
