Yes, it really is about cultural cleansing, isn't it? And if it pits people against each other, well, that serves the State's interests, too. RE: "CULTURAL CLEANSING" CAMPAIGN AGAINST THE SOUTH INTENSIFIES by Dr Michael Hill President, The League of the South The campaign of "cultural cleansing" against the traditional South has been intensified over the last two days by the destruction of the Robert E. Lee mural in Richmond and the campaign against Southern state flags which are designed in some form or fashion after the Confederate battleflag. Earlier this week, Jesse Jackson's PUSH/Rainbow Coalition announced a planned boycott of the state of Georgia unless the state flag is redesigned to remove Confederate symbolism, and thousands of anti-flag marchers took to the streets of Columbia, South Carolina. Now, we learn that the state flags of Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, and Arkansas, all of which have Confederate symbolism in their designs, are to be targeted by anti-Southern cultural bigots, from the President of the United States and the two Democratic Presidential front-runners to the NAACP and its liberal allies in the media and the academy. The League of the South, and its allies in the Southern movement, deplore this attempt to culturally cleanse the South and to remove all vestiges of our Confederate heritage. That heritage, we believe, is under attack because it stands as a reminder of the true nature of American government-a federated, constitutional republic-given us by the Founding Fathers and subsequently destroyed by Lincoln and his statist heirs. To discredit the Confederacy is to discredit the wellspring of American liberty. Lovers of Big Government everywhere no doubt will celebrate when the Southern Cause is finally defeated. However, they should not deceive themselves into thinking that it will be a short or easy fight. Dr. Michael Hill President The League of the South dixienet.org
