More Amateur TA:

Friday's action formed an inside day. Martin Pring's 'Introduction to Technical Analysis' has this to say about inside days.

"Inside days develop after a persistent short-term price move and are really the second day of a 2-day price pattern. In an uptrend, the first day consists of a fairly sharp rally. On the second day, the trading range is completely encompassed by that of the first. ... Key reversals are generally more significant when they are followed by outside and then inside days."

This is still a short term reversal pattern. The pattern has not been invalidated. In fact, the signal has become stronger. Get out your cheque books, here comes an excellent buying opportunity (IMHO, of course).

Prognostication: I'm still looking for a 3 to 4 day gradual drop before we head north again. Although the pattern indicates it may now become even more pronounced, the TSE200 inclusion is just 9 trading days away, which should lend some support.

Please don't anyone act upon my ramblings here as I may be completely wrong (again).
