rudedog, re: No more chip shortages from Intel, I bet!!! Of course it is complete BS... one only has to look at the floppermine disaster, RAMBUS, Intel's 8-way chipset, etc. to see some fragile stuff...

Lately, I have not been very happy with the performance of Intel as a supplier for Dell (for reasons you mentioned), and for them to be Dell's only source for processor chips has resulted in a major loss for Dell stock holders (count me in that group). At the same time Intel has done quite nicely (I would have felt better if they shared my pain). I hope Barrett has the commitment necessary to warrant being Dell's sole supplier (which means I have new doubts about Intel's commitment to Dell). This is my worry point.
