<<< I don't find much.<<<

What did I miss? I didn't find anything in your analysis that suggested anything other than this is a good time to buy.

You didn't find anything that told you exactly when we break out on the upside. Who cares about that? Seasonality will take care of than including the seasonal factor called "report of last year's earnings."

I think the trading pattern in this stock is going to change. More people will bail on the way up this time. Result: less volatility. Secondary result (in a year or two): increased PE due to less volatility.

Dennis,

Appreicate the analysis, and yes you speak a very true sentiment when you espouse the contrarian mantra of "When a stock is flying and everyone is euphoric and giddy one should consider taking some profits. Conversely when the stock is crashing (and the fundamentals are there), and when the tears are flowing down your face and when you are just about to give up on a stock; reach back and take money from your wallet and buy!"

I used to believe the long-term hold strategy was best, and I still think there is much merit in it, but I cannot ignore the fact that that philosophy was developed in market conditions that exhibited much less volatility. The increased fluctuations do two things, provide opportunity for increased profits by trading on the swings, and increase potential for losing profits by not trading on the swings.

Much like free agency in sports has ruined the concept of "team dynasty", so has recent market volatility and trading ruined the concept of "long-term investing". It is a shame ... unfortunately, it is also a reality. Doing the T/A is going to become fundamentally more important to the investor that wishes to maximize his profits while minimizing his risk. I encourage all THQI investors to do their T/A, whatever level they may master will assist more than doing none at all.

Just my thoughts, thanks again for your, and for confirmation I plotted all your indicators on my own and can easily see your analysis being correct. It's just a matter of time, which is always the real unknown.

Regards, JB

Dennis and Jeff, thank you both very much for your thoughts.

There is a good bit of FA news coming which could lead to our moving back up as it filters through the investment community.

Did everyone catch that Activision's new online Star Trek game uses THQ's GA collectible bits technology?

The WM2K ad campaign that was planned for last Christmas and delayed due to the sellouts is now underway. Will lead to a lot of sales of the reorders. You have to think that Farrell budgeted the expense into last quarter--the deferral (partial?) probably gives him yet more confidence in beating numbers with the Feb. report.

March is usually a quiet period for THQ and often tough on stockholders but this time looks to be different. Instead of quiet sales we may have the number one game in the land with Smackdown. The game isn't coming out until May in the Europe, so that's another clue that Q1 is in the bag.

It would be nice if Summoner creates some E3 buzz. E3 is only a few weeks after the Q1 report as well.

Basically, THQ is suffering from the wrestling transition. Indeed, under normal conditions THQ would have published WM2K in late October ala Revenge. Then there would have been time for reorders despite Nintendo's slow manufacturing. And Q4 would have been much stronger.

Well, it seems that we are moving into a period (esp. Q2-Q4) where quarter-on-quarter comps are going to be very easy.

Btw, I am very excited about the possibility of having up to nine Rugrats skus on the shelves next holiday season in conjunction with the next Rugrats movie.
