Henry, thanks for posting the link. I had assumed that I couldn't sell my losing AOL shares and replace them with TWX shares without running afoul of the wash sale rule. One could even spice the swap a bit by selling AOL, buying TWX and then selling some high priced TWX calls. This would nail down the tax loss and also generate some additional income.
