i keep tabs on system resources religiously, and strive to keep background apps at a minimum.

i would point out that the system tools you've described are available only in win98. those folks with win95 will not find those items upon following your clickstream. i have installed a program called 'startup manager' on my win95 machine to essentially do what win98 does.

on the subject of clickstreams.... as has been pointed out here in a previous post, another way (and easier, imo) to get to the system configuration utility tool in win98 is to type msconfig in the run box, then click on startup.
