all very good stuff, doug i keep tabs on system resources religiously, and strive to keep background apps at a minimum. i would point out that the system tools you've described are available only in win98. those folks with win95 will not find those items upon following your clickstream. i have installed a program called 'startup manager' on my win95 machine to essentially do what win98 does. on the subject of clickstreams.... as has been pointed out here in a previous post, another way (and easier, imo) to get to the system configuration utility tool in win98 is to type msconfig in the run box, then click on startup. all fwiw... :) mark
