Some GNET and also MSFT news.....

First, if anyone has a special business web site that is particular to your area, feel free to add it here....sometimes these are great sources of new info...This one is Puget Sound Business Journal, and has articles on a weekly basis of different firms around the NW area

Because we all are interested in various companies around the US and Canada, would be nice to have various sources to reference....
It's a great day here in the NW....Hope yours is too!

Microsoft's DirectX adds voice technology
Microsoft Corp. said it will include real-time voice communication technology in its DirectX suite of multimedia features for the Windows operating system. The Redmond software company said the voice technology will initially be utilized in multiplayer games but later will allow PC-to-PC voice communication in other types of applications as well. The technology, to be available as a free download after Feb. 18, is adapted from the Battlefield Communicator application created by ShadowFactor Software Inc., a Canadian software company acquired by Microsoft in June

Netstock Direct Corp. of Bellevue said it will establish a Direct Investing Center on the Silicon Investor finance site run by Go2Net Inc. of Seattle. Netstock's Web services allow investors to purchase stock directly from approximately 1,600 public companies, often with minimal or no fees, through Direct Stock Plans and Dividend Reinvestment Plans. Terms of the distribution agreements were not disclosed.
