Jay, I think that the thresholds may be shifting, where more folks are now looking for the flexibility and added features which digital would allow.

True, but how would you describe the portals on the web? They take a 250 million channel universe and lump a select few together on one page. Portals will always be the most popular websites because they are the closest the net can come (at this point) to being like a TV. If things shift, and portals are no longer the most popular, its because another site has given people the ability to use the flexibility and added features, but still appears to be passive.

About 1 year ago, the CBC (our national government funded TV) did a story about how people felt left behind in the computer age. The story was completely wrong. People are far ahead of computers. It's the computers that need to catch up. The same applies to the net. It's going to get a lot dumber.

thanx for the link, i will give it a read when i have some good time available.

Regards
Jay
