Frank I cautiously post on this
board as I have much to learn and am far removed from
any background in telecoms/fiber. I see a convergence of
digital broadcast TV (with extra unused bandwidth on HDTV)
and world wide web (via optical/cable/copper or wireless)
all converging on the user's processing center at home or
work where it can be accessed in real time or from storage.
Viewed free or as the case may be rented/bought per the content not per the transmisssion of said content. That
is my view of the client choosing how he/she is served and
when and what. I'll admit I am looking forward to seeing
Hungarian slovanic dancing live direct in high definition in
California, or stored for later viewing on the hard drive.
Thanks for guiding this board so well and being so
generous of information (reading the Cook report site),
Best to you, AL
