Conolog indeed is a bit of a mystery, what with its former military connections. And the lack of posters on the stock discussion threads, the lack of historical public relations, etc. almost makes me think the company the company just got free from being under the employ of the CIA or government black ops.

Anyway, I've read through the annual report and from that reading I note it is in fact a viable entity and has been producing products and services for a long, long time.

It appears the company has suffered tremendously due to the downsizing of military contracts. During Regan years Conolog seemed a healthy corporation. And, of course, the 90s have seen the focus on the Internet and companies like Conolog simply have not been high growth investments.

However, it seems via its business relationships with the utility companies and companies like General Electric, it has evolved its digital signal processing technologies, and as industries have evolved into fiberoptics a change opportunity has presented itself to Conolog. The company now seems poised to seek out new business and obviously is putting together a credible public relations front.

Investors know about DSP and fiberoptics. I'm very, very anxious to learn more on how exactly CNLG will show us the beef with its efforts to become a player in these hot sectors.

Given its history, CNLG has no shortage of industrial connections. The question is: Can it make something of itself from them?

As a criticism, I think one of its first acts has to be getting its website contemporary. Perhaps this will be a subject for one of the next press releases we'll see.
