What a frustrating day!

Of all the things I would like to have for day trading, the thing I miss the most is a decent alert program that would watch for things like volume spikes, breakouts, and such during the trading day. There are a certain number of packages that run on the eSignal feed that can do this, MetaStock Professonal being one, but eSignal is limited to 500 or 1000 symbols depending on what you're willing to pay, and, I'm already paying for a PC Quote feed.

Anyway, I downloaded and installed 7 third party programs that run on top of the PC Quote (Townsend) feed. Only 1 of them worked with the Canadian feed and the PC Quote symbology. I've sent off emails of course, but I'm not holding my breath. 1 out of 7!

Sigh. --Allan

gypsy, thanks for the recommendation....I've downloaded a trial version of Money 2000 and when I get time I'll have a go at it.....Personal Stock Monitor seems great and would be a much better front end for CSW rather than their plain approach to portfolio management....as I said previously, PSM is short on reporting and they don't use ACB on the cost side......I asked them to see about offering ACB costing and also suggested that they contact CSW to see how they could integrate CSW's realtime quote service with PSM....let's see how it goes....BTW, PSM has a trial version - recommend you have a look at it.....
Take care, Sapper
