Two more items during commercial:

ragingbull.com

And...

Yes, Jon, perhaps one can make a player of a slightly reduced quality that can play any music. But it's sort of like selling baseball products which aren't licensed by Major League Baseball.

If you're gonna be playing the music of contracted artists, you're gonna need some sanction-type approval from the Big Five in the music industry.

I think it'll sort be like a few years back trying to sell computers without Windows. You're sorta gonna need the standard or some kind of approved means of delivery. Don't ya know bootleggers are frowned upon, except them running the booze back during Prohibition.

Again, Jon, contact some of the heavies at the company. It's a local phone call for ya! We'd enjoy learning what you discover should you wish to share it with us.

Oh yeah, one other question (here we go again--LOL!): Do you have relations with anyone who works for, or have you ever worked for MP3 which is located in San Diego?

I really do think you should try and have some ham and eggs with Woody Norris some morning. Back to the movie! It's alien abduction! They wouldn't do that, would they? (LOL)

Jon,

Support for multiple codecs is not enough. The same codec from a different library could have a different security code (DRM). This would cause incompatibilities between the files. All we need is one security code, but a lot of money has been poured into the four major systems, and it doesn't seem that any one of them will capitulate in the near future. The fact is that new systems are being developed as we speak.

Consumers will probably want the option of downloading and playing music in their devices from any library. Micro OS is the only system we know of that supports all of the major security codes (DRMs). Competitors to Micro OS currently use proprietary hardware and need a considerable amount of battery power. Micro OS is software based and can be updated through the Internet to support future codecs and DRMs.

If you think the future of e-commerce will include Internet distribution of music, video, graphics and transcripts, then you have to pay attention to e.Digital's patents and engineering.

JMHO,
Kerry
