BTW, PT, I'm not currently at Callaway Golf. That assignment was a LOT of fun - developing software to analyze golf swings using computerized video capture, and software to measure ball velocity, spin, and launch angle using infrared LED strobed multiple-exposure video frames. The complete system includes a third component that I didn't work on - a real-time video simulation that uses the ball launch data captured from the second system to display a simulated hit on the 9'th hole at Pebble Beach. (It's displayed on a screen that is also a net that you hit the ball into.) The end result was to be a lavish "Callaway Golf Experience" exhibit at 6'th and Madison in N.Y.

Unfortunately, about 6 months into the project, the whole department (Interactive Golf) was closed-down, as part of a severe belt-tightening, as the company faced the reality of a depressed Japanse market and the costs associated with building the first new golfball factory in the U.S. in several decades. I spent the next several months helping them transfer the technology to their R&D department, where some of it is now being used to aid in product development, and then did a couple of small test and measurement projects for their new golfball company.

I just completed an assignment (which had nothing to do with audio) at a semiconductor company and start a new one on Monday at a different company. (Which of course will remain nameless because there are nutcases on these boards.) My new assignment also has nothing to do with audio.

I did develop the Windows audio drivers for the first-ever PCMCIA audio card a few years ago, as well as Video for Windows driver for the first-ever PCMCIA video capture card. But I haven't done that type of work for several years.
