Howard, your answer to me was satisfactory. Basically my understanding is:
1. Homeopathy is a fraud, but not dangerous because homeopathic medicines contain virtually no active ingredients.
2. The government allows homeopathic remedies to be sold, creating a loophole.
3. The label "homeopathic" doesn't necessarily imply that the product contains no ingredients, or that it is a fraud, though it may.
4. Zicam contains sufficient active ingredients to actually do something, but fits neatly through the loophole, thus reducing the need for testing and clinical trials.
