Excuse me ~ <I think I need a new dreadful little company to look into...>

May I suggest AVBC? I am unable to positively identify the aroma that I'm sure I smell.

I know there isn't much anybody can do about it, but I really wish someone would publish instances of misrepresentation perpetuated by the VC firms and bankers for some of these IPOs, especially the top tier ones. This just really makes me mad, and it goes on all the time. My personal favorite is Calico software, a Kleiner IPO therefore top backing - however they lost their space as many companies do... Kleiner then repositions their product line with an "e" in the front and pushes clic out the door as some sort of web venture when calico is NOT that. Its obvious to everybody in the business that KP wants to get their cash out at the public's expense - this sucks.

I think the VC firms really love the "resonable and customary" cautionary statements they have to make because it means they can dump their dogs with the same lingo in the prospectus as the real winners.
