Satellite is all digital, so the reception is much, much better than cable. As you know, cable is upgrading to digital, which should improve all that. Directv will offer local programming for about $5/month extra. If anyone is a sports fan, they have special packages available to see ALL the NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA games. The music channels (Much) play CD quality music all the time, with a huge variety from which to choose. Multiple movie channels. But cable will be offering those as they upgrade.
