That oil smuggling comes as no surprise to me. The Russians
have a long history of running blockades. What I wonder is
what the Russians are getting out of this. Why would they
bother running the blockade for Iraq??? I wonder when the
Ruskies get to do some "live fire" testing of their new
A-400 antiaircraft missile. They have a hankering to see
if they can build a 50,000 foot ceiling AA rocket that can
defeat our defenses.

By the way, have you seen that new Tom Clancy book "N-22"?
I think I'm going to read it. The book is about the
hypothetical war between China and the USA over the Chinese
invasion of oil producing islands in the South China Sea.
I have done some research on oil reserves in that part of
the world and it is no joke, there are major oil deposits
in China and the South China Sea just waiting to be tapped.
Many nations lay claim to various small island chains just
so they can tap these reserves. China has made some threats
over these claims. Tom Clancy does his homework, that is
for sure.
