Dear thecow: I know the feeling, NOTHING is more frustrating then the inability to understand these damn complicated computers and how to make them work properly. IF the PC is dead it will be because they never learned how to make them user friendly. As to the preferences I looked in there and did not see any way to SHUT OFF the YES selection. Indeed, once the programs are tinkered with on your computer I dont see how it can be reversed by merely clicking on a I change my mind option. JDN

Go to My AOL then
Preferences then
Associations then
Choose CANCEL.

This is the same question they asked you when we installed aol 5.0. I believe by choosing cancel AOL is not the preferred yada yada yada.

Im sick about the stock price.

I wish some of the new posters on this board owned AOL last year when T was the apple of his/her eye. AOL is still a great company and stock but it is different.

I guess a new investor is on board and I am ambivilent about selling and their alleged service deteriation.
