I have no biases but yours reads loud and clear. I have evaluated MTS and the performance against other app servers is dreadful. As for SUN ripping off MTS, that is a joke right? If anything they ripped off the OMG and Corba since their transaction services and component framework is heavily based in the Corba world. If you read carefully I did note that I can develop COM components in Java - just not easily. EJB is a Java based standard and any decent developer will tell you that Java is a fantastic language for the Internet and component development. Its OO features and lack of C++ complexities make it perfect for business modeling. My post was meant to illicit a dialogue with Jean and I wanted to start the ball rolling by posting why I think EJB/Corba is better in contrast to his assertion of the contrary. Your post adds nothing to that discourse. This is not a holy war for me. I am interested in intelligent discussion - not childish accusations about my motives for posting. Claude (rhymes with TOAD)
