<<here's the shiny pebble...

lumenon.com

Patended process that could make it a gorilla (unless it's bought before it gets there).>>

LoF: Thanks for the info. I will do some more DD when I get back from the east coast later this week. I did check out the company website and noticed that last spring Lumenon brought on some new board members (including the General Manager from Cisco Systems in Canada)...Hmmm...I think 'the old Gorilla Cisco' likes to keep track of promising early stage networking technology firms (and then buy them when ever it makes sense). Lumenon seems to have some sharp folks on their Advisory Board too. Here is one that caught my attention...

<<Dr. Jacek Chrostowski

Dr. Chrostowski is technology program manager in the Optical Internetworking Business Unit of Cisco Systems, Inc., the worldwide leader in networking for the internet.>>

IMO, Cisco would not be spending so much time helping to incubate Lumenon unless there was something quite important under the hood of this company <VBG>....The question is can Lumenon really execute and deliver breakthrough optical network products..?? Time will tell...Who knows, they may even get bought out by 'an established Gorilla'...!!

Best Regards,

Scott
