<<I also had some Societe Roquefort. We had a late lunch, so the cheese was dinner. There's a little town outside of Auvignon, named Fontvielle. We had the most incredible cheeses at the inn we stayed at on our last trip. They had a cart that they referred to as the "chariot of cheese". 25 different cheeses, all you wanted.>> LoF: You and Poet are making me hungry.... You're also making me want to return to Europe. I love France and unfortunately have not made time to get back over there recently. My last vacation was to Ecuador to visit my brother (who is teaching english for a year in an Ecuadorian University). It's a wonderful country but the currency has been devalued by over 65% in the last year. The dollar goes a Looooooong way in Ecuador and we were able to stay at the finest 5 star hotels for around $75/night. I met my family in Ecuador around Thanksgiving last year and we had a great time....we took my brother on a trip to the Galapagos Islands -- wow, what a trip....eight days on an expedition vessel and lots of touring, snorkeling, photographing, salsa dancing, and fine dining. It was sort of like camp and was a great learning experience. The Sea Bass and Shrimp are so fresh off the coast of Ecuador. They also have amazing tropical fruits. I would highly recommend a trip to the Galapagos. There are unique endemic birds and marine life --it's like spending time in a natural wildlife museum. You can get so close to the sea lions and sea penguins (and even swim with them)...wow, I'm rambling on here...It's time to pack for another business trip and I must sign off. Best Regards, Scott
