milo - ref: ISSCC

Interesting. I can't find this particular IBM submission on the advanced program, not that I am doubting that they are going to present (since IBM says they are). Maybe it's a late submission. They have 3 presentations slated for session 5 on Monday, but I don't see anything in the Wednesday "Next Generation uP". I also thumbed through some of the other sessions, and didn't find what I identified as this submission either.

AMD, on the other hand, isn't in either of the uP sessions that I can tell. Maybe another late submission, or maybe the online program is inaccurate.

If anybody finds either of these items, a repost would be cool.

Milo, the article says,

"The chips can reach speeds of 3.3 gigahertz to 4.5 gigahertz a second. A gigahertz is a billion cycles."

LOL
